Environmental Projects Coordinator

What do you do at Stonegrove?

Environmental Projects Coordinator
The role is mainly focused on bringing together local residents and professionals interested in collaborating on environmental action projects. We have a weekly Gardening Club and a Community Recycling Station collecting small appliances, batteries, print cartridges and dental products.

The other areas of this role include supporting the Barnet Environmental Network, hosted by Inclusion Barnet. This has a monthly meet-up online with over 90 member organisations across the Borough.

Why do you love what you do?

For many years I have worked across London in Community Centres and schools teaching outdoor education and setting up and running food growing projects. I love connecting people to the outdoors and see huge benefits in wellbeing and community cohesion around these areas.

I grew up and have lived in the Borough most of my life and its great to finally be working close to home. I strive to live a sustainable life in the city and hope to be able to inspire others to do the same. SCT seems to be a very friendly, welcoming and inclusive centre and I am really excited to be part of the team here.

Where do you see Stonegrove progressing in the future?

It’s a really exciting time to join Stonegrove Community Trust – near the beginning, setting values and shaping what the future holds. To start with I hope to get to know the community, meet people already involved but also engage new people in climate action and environmental projects.

If you have ideas or would like to get in involved please get in touch.

As a charity organisation, we rely entirely on donations to keep up the work we do. Every donation matters, no matter how big or small.DONATE
