Little Leaders Nursery is based in the heart of the community, on the first floor of OneStonegrove Community Centre. Catering for the ages of 3 months to 5 years, this purpose-built nursery provides a fantastic range of resources in the beautifully set out open planned space. Our warm and welcoming entrance can only be accessed via our secure entry phone system.
There are excellent transport links close by to allow our working parents to drop their children off and quickly get to the train station or bus stops. You can be in central London in under 30 minutes from Stanmore Station. We even have a storage area for you to leave pushchairs and car seats if you need to.
We accept Child care vouchers, 15 and 30-hour funding, tax-free childcare, discounts for full-time children, and for those who work at London Academy or One Stonegrove.
We are very lucky to have an indoor/outdoor garden area, allowing the children to enjoy the fresh air safely no matter what the weather. In the summer this becomes a lovely extension to our indoor space allowing children to engage in free-flow activities. In addition to this, we have a beautiful outdoor vegetable patch, which provides fantastic learning activities for our children.
We are proud of our fully dedicated team, working together to give the best experience for the families and children at Little Leaders Nursery. Our experienced leaders who look after the babies and toddlers prepare learning opportunities within the nursery to explore and discover based on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. Children need to socialise and learn from each other. This creates an interest in socialising and emotional stability.
With Strong Links to our local school London Academy, our staff have had training with the school to ensure all children are best prepared as they move onto big school. Leading this team, our enthusiastic and experienced manager Chloe helps make this a smooth transition for everyone, making it feel like a home away from home.
For each child at our setting, a key person is assigned and we inform parents and carers of their name and explain their role. The key person ensures that every child’s learning and care is tailored to meet their individual needs and staff seek to engage and support parents and carers in guiding their child’s development at nursery and home. This will also extend to helping families engage with more specialist support if required.
We use an online learning journey called Famly to allow the parents as much access to their child’s learning, development and care needs at the nursery. These great learning journals show great daily activities, being able to keep track of sleeps, meals, and all the fun and learning they have had at the nursery. We do parent evenings where we provide a report about your child’s learning and their progress and offer parents the opportunity to speak with their keyworker about how is best to move forward and to hear all the amazing strengths of their child.
There is an annual Preschool preparation parents evening to support parents who are getting their children ready for school and we also do an annual parents evening for those of the younger children where parents can come along and learn about the Early Years Foundation stage, provide fun activity ideas for at home and so much more.
