We share local concerns about the proposed population density, and also the scale and height of this redevelopment. We are continually hearing the concerns of local residents about the impact on local infrastructure and local communities. We urge those with power and influence over the planning decisions to fully consider the residents and communities around the redevelopment.

We are extremely concerned by the lack of provision of genuine community-owned and managed space in this development. On the Stonegrove estate we have OneStonegrove, where we can host space for the local community to come together. This new development needs community-owned spaces large enough to allow that for this much larger proposed redevelopment, or what will be created is isolated residents, with very little prospect of a strong community coming together. Communities need space.

Our primary aim is to work with local residents, to ensure that their voices are heard. Too often individuals and communities can feel powerless and disengaged by regeneration processes, and their needs can be forgotten or side lined. We stand ready to support, encourage and empower all local residents, regardless of their individual or collective views on this redevelopment.
