The reception desk is directly to the left through the door, and is staffed between 8:30am and 7pm Monday – Friday. Outside of those hours, the centre is sometimes open for activities and events. See what’s on at our weekly timetable or events and workshop pages.
Travelling to the centre
There is a free-to-use car park next to the centre, with one disabled space available with room for mobility aids. This space is first come, first served and cannot be reserved.
If you contact us ahead of time we can ensure there is additional space available should the disabled space be in use. Or direct you to the nearest street parking suitable for blue badge holders.
Access to the car park is via Hayling Way. Drive past the centre building and the car park is directly on your left.
If you’re using Sat Nav to get to us, it’s best to type in: “5 Hayling Way, HA8.”
Parking is available in our car park next to the centre, and there is free unrestricted parking in Green Lane, King’s Drive or Lacey Drive which are less than one minute walk to the centre.
Please note any other bays around the centre are resident parking and monitored by parking attendants. Not all of these are clearly marked as ‘resident only’ so please be aware of where you park.
If you’re coming by bus, the 142, 642 and 107 stop approximately 500 yards from the centre.

The nearest underground station (0.9 miles) is Stanmore which is on the Jubilee Line. When you leave the station turn right, walk along London Road until you reach Canons Corner roundabout.
Turn right at the roundabout and follow Stonegrove Road. Turn left into Lacey Drive and follow the road until you reach the centre. The entrance is to your left, on Hayling Way.
Edgware Station on the Northern Line (Edgware branch) is also 0.9 miles away.

The nearest National Rail station to us is Mill Hill Broadway which is served by Thameslink. Once at the station, you can take the bus 186 (towards Brent Cross) and get off at Purcells Avenue bus stop.

Accessibility Information
The front entrance has flat access and a wide, manual door. There are staff on site to assist in the event the door is not open.
The reception desk is directly to the left through the door, and is set at a low level.
There is level access to all areas of the ground floor, via wide manual doors.
There is an accessibility lift directly opposite the front entrance and to the right of the reception desk. Staff are on hand to assist with the lift if necessary.
Alternatively there are stairs with handrails to the second floor directly to the left of the lift.
Ten steps, followed by a landing, then six steps, followed by a second landing, and a final nine steps.
Access to the nursery is via ramp access from the rear of the building. Lift access is available – please ask at reception, and we will be able to assist you.

There is direct access to the nursery from the car park via stairs directly in front of the car park, or a access ramp from the car park to the rear of the building and the access ramp to the nursery entrance.

There are five toilets on the ground floor, and one is wheelchair accessible with the emergency red cord. The toilets are located opposite the reception desk.
We are exploring the feasibility of adding a Changing Places toilet. We will update this page as we progress.
