St Peter’s Church and Diocese of London
OneStonegrove is also the home of St Peter’s Church. St Peter’s is delighted to continue building social capital and growing community cohesion by partnering with Stonegrove Community Trust in ensuring that services offered in the centre are tailored and delivered to meet the local needs for all residents. The church is represented on the Trust board by the church’s Vicar, Reverend Simon Rea, who has had an active role in the development of OneStonegrove.
Barratt London are the developer and housebuilder for Stonegrove, building both the affordable and private sector dwellings. Barratts also commissioned OneStonegrove with 50% of the funds from a S106 agreement (the other 50% from St. Peter’s church), and are in close liaison with the community trust.
London Borough of Barnet
London Borough of Barnet (LBB) has been the main driver to the regeneration of Stonegrove estate. For Barnet Council, the regeneration project was always much more than better quality homes. It was always about ensuring that residents had a vibrant, safe and attractive neighbourhood, with people from different backgrounds living happily alongside each other. LBB are represented on the Trust board by Regeneration Officer, Shelleyna Rahman.
The Hive Trust
The Hive Trust, which currently supports a strong community programme at the nearby Hive Centre, were identified as a quality delivery partner able to manage the OneStonegrove Centre and in particular develop and commission a wide ranging programme of community activities to meet the diverse needs of Stonegrove residents. The Hive Trust will base a team of three people at OneStonegrove who will themselves deliver projects and activities on and off-site, and who will provide the core staff team to drive the centre and programme. The Hive Trust will cover all associated operating costs. The café, at the heart of the Centre, is also managed and run by The Hive Trust, with support and synergy from their main catering operation at The Hive itself.
Family Mosaic have ownership of all the affordable housing in the area and so have a considerable stake in both the physical state and management of the area and in the wellbeing of the residents. They are committed to develop-ing an active and cohesive community at Stonegrove. Family Mosaic are represented on the Trust board by the Area Manager, Jason Houston.
Pre-School Learning Alliance
Following an extensive open selection process, The Pre-School Learning alliance won the opportunity to develop and deliver the 57 place children’s nursery on the first floor of OneStonegrove. They won the selection, not only on their extensive local knowledge and track record, but on the strength and breadth of their wider early year’s programme, supporting and working with parents in the locality.
